项目摘要

本研究の目的は, 人のメンタルモデル転移の潜在的・顕在的過程を明らかにすることであった. 本研究でいうメンタルモデルは, 人が対象に対して持つ心的表象(イメージ)や知識, またそれらによって習得された技能を指しており, 日常生活の中で人は常にメンタルモデルの構築や転移をすることで円滑な行動をしている. 本年度も昨年度に引き続き, ボタンを押しながら系列を学習していく系列学習における潜在的転移および顕在的転移の特性を検討することを目的に, 基礎的な実証研究を重ねた. 昨年度に, 人は学習したことを潜在的に転移できるという結果を踏まえ, 本年度は系列学習における顕在的転移の特性を検討した. その結果, 人が潜在的に行っている転移と, 意図的に行っている転移の効果が非常に類似していることを示した. つまり, 人は学習時に覚えた系列と転移時に行う系列の具体的な関係性に気づいていなくても, 潜在的転移は生じ, またその効果が顕在的転移の効果と類似していることから, 潜在的転移と顕在的転移の認知処理過程は類似, あるいはその大部分を共有している可能性を示唆した. 次の研究では, 潜在的転移の効果が学習時の成功経験に基づいていることを明らかにした, 具体的には, 学習課題を行っているときに, 与えられたボタン押しの系列の成功回数が多ければ多いほど, 転移課題を行ったときの潜在的転移の効果が大きいことを示した、そして, 学習時にどの程度間違えたかというエラー回数の多さが, 潜在的転移に対して影響していないことを示し, 潜在的転移の効果は, 学習時の失敗経験ではなく成功経験の多さに相関することを明らかにした. 本研究で得られた知見は, 実社会で有効に利用できる系列学習手法の開発などを通して教育現場等に今後活かされることが期待できるので, 研究の社会的意義は大きい.
