Methodological and cultural studies on the issues and suggestions for the improvements in teaching kendo at British universities

本研究采用问卷调查法和访谈法，对英国高校俱乐部教师对剑道训练和教学的看法，以及他们在俱乐部教学中存在的问题进行了解读。他们的想法分为四类：1)对训练的看法，2)对俱乐部的责任感，3)对教学的想法，4)他们与学生之间的隔阂。对他们在每一种范畴上建构思想的因素也进行了解释。这些研究结果将为英国大学剑道的进一步发展提供有益的指导。

This study attempted to interpret British university club teachers' views of training and teaching of kendo, and the problems that they have in teaching in their clubs by employing the methods of questionnaires and interviews. Their thoughts were divided into four categories ; 1) their views on training, 2) their sense of responsibility to their clubs, 3) their thoughts on teaching, and 4) their sense of gaps between themselves and their students. The factors that they had constructed their thoughts on each category were also interpreted. These findings will make a great contribution to developing methodologies of training and teaching of kendo for further development of British university kendo.
