The purpose of this study is to focus on the violent street fights in Berlin during the Weimar Republic that the various paramilitary and political forces (the Stormtroopers of the NSDAP [SA], the Stahlhelm, the communist Red Front Fighter’s League [RFB], the Reichsbanner, etc.) caused repeatedly. Further, the goal is to analyse the development of this political violence and the relationships between the paramilitary and political forces empirically on the basis of primary sources that are kept in the archives in Germany. In this study I clarify the situations of the street fights in Berlin and Prussia quantitatively and concretely, and then give consideration to their causes and meanings. I conclude the following: these fights were not a mere “gang war” between the militant groups, but a phenomenon that was backed by a “normalization of violence” in the German society of the Weimar Republic. Additionally the switchover from the Weimar system to the Nazi-Regime should be interpreted from the viewpoint of “continuity” at this point.

本研究的目的是关注魏玛共和国时期柏林的暴力街头斗殴，各种准军事和政治力量（纳粹党冲锋队[SA]，Stahlhelm，共产主义红色阵线战士联盟[RFB]，Reichsbanner等）反复造成的。此外，目的是根据保存在德国档案中的原始资料，对这种政治暴力的发展以及准军事力量与政治力量之间的关系进行经验分析。本研究将对柏林和普鲁士街头斗殴的情况进行定量和具体的梳理，并对街头斗殴的原因和意义进行思考。我的结论如下：这些战斗不仅仅是好战团体之间的“帮派战争”，而是一种由魏玛共和国德国社会中的“暴力正常化”支持的现象。此外，从魏玛体制到纳粹政权的过渡，此时也应该从“连续性”的角度来解读。
