Possibility of integrating environmental and artistic education based on Ecoliteracy

本研究以贝特森的传播学理论和生态素养的概念为基础，探讨环境教育与艺术教育整合的可能性。贝特森把包括自然、社会、生物和人在内的生命系统看作是一个心灵过程，是审美的、神圣的，从而提出了克服科学与非科学、心灵与肉体二元思维的生态思维。受贝特森影响的卡普拉（F. Capra）的生态素养（Ecoliteracy）概念将我们的生命系统视为建模原则和生态系统的智慧，鼓励我们在经验中获得感性和理性。本研究指出环境教育与艺术教育相结合的意义与可能性。

The present study examines the possibility for integrating environmental and artistic education based on Gregory Bateson's Communication theory and the concept of Ecoliteracy. Bateson regarded our living system which includes the nature, the society, living things and human beings as a mind process as well as being aesthetic and sacred, and then raised the ecological thinking which overcomes dualistic thinking such as science and non-science or mind and body. The concept of Ecoliteracy by F. Capra influenced by Bateson recognizes our living system as modeling principles and the wisdom of ecosystem, and encourages us to acquire both sensitivity and rationality through experiences. This study indicates the significance and possibility of integrating environmental and artistic education.
