The subject of the study was the poetical theory of Propertius (ca. 50 B.C.- ca. 16 B.C.) as expressed through his poetry. The Callimachean theory that aims at the production of carefully crafted short poems represented the mainstream of Hellenistic poetry.Since Propertius presents himself in his poems as a champion of Callimachean aesthetics, there has been an excessive tendency among scholars to emphasize his avoidance of epic poetry. While confirming Propertius' adherence to Callimachean aesthetics, the present study has also brought to light his high esteem of Homeric poems, as evidenced in particular by the homage paid to Homer's work in the Fourth Book of his Elegies (the seventh and the eighth elegies),and has elucidated the way in which Propertius has brilliantly united the two different genres of love elegy and epic poetry.

研究的主题是Propertius（约公元前50年-公元前16年）通过诗歌表达的诗学理论。以精心创作短诗为目标的卡利马契理论代表了希腊化诗歌的主流。自从普罗提乌斯在他的诗歌中将自己呈现为卡利马契美学的捍卫者以来，学者们就过度倾向于强调他对史诗的回避。在证实了普罗提乌斯对卡利马契美学的坚持的同时，本研究也揭示了他对荷马诗歌的高度尊重，特别是在他的挽歌第四卷（第七和第八挽歌）中对荷马作品的敬意，并阐明了普罗提乌斯将爱情挽歌和史诗这两种不同类型的诗歌巧妙地结合在一起的方式。
