Research of construction and control method of power converter that plurals and parallels connects power inverter with different output capacity

The power converters are used in various fields such as from a home appliance of small capacity to large capacity railway vehicles. In this power converter, the construction and the control method of the power converter to attempt making to a large capacity and standardization were established in this research.They are the following points.(1) The limiting condition concerning the current allotment of the parallel, multiple electric power converter driven in a different sharing of output was clarified.(2) The effectiveness of the summation and difference current control method that reduced cross current that flowed between the power converters and did not contribute to the output was confirmed in comparing it with a conventional individual control method.(3) The summation and difference current control method is effective for the reduction of cross current. But the limit was found in the capacity reduction of the combination reactor that added the outputs of the power converters.
