Verification of pathogenecity of Merkel cell polyoma virus in skin neoplasms

在此期间，我们经历了10例默克尔细胞癌。男性6例，女性4例，年龄65 ~ 80岁（平均75岁，中位数75岁）。8例呈现在面部，各2例，上肢和下肢。未发现前驱病变。初治时行切除8例，放疗2例。不幸的是，在该系列的所有样本中，均未检测到多瘤病毒。同样，在原位免疫PCR中，无论PCR条件如何变化，都能获得阳性结果。

We have experienced ten cases of Merkel cell carcinoma in this period. There were six males and four females, ranging in age 65 to 80 years ( mean and median 75 years).8 of the cases presented on the face, each of two cases, upper extremity and lower extremity.Precursor lesions were not found.On initial treatment, Resection were performed in 8 cases, on the other hand, radiation therapy were performed in two cases. Unfortunately, in all samples of this series, Polyoma virus were undetectable. Also, in situ immune PCR, positive findings could be obtained regardless of many changes of PCR conditions.
