Purpose of this study is to clarify frequency of DVT in general Japanese population. Subjected were 1501 residents, mean age was 60.0 years old, in 7 cities in Japan. We collected the subjects by public information, homepage, newspaper and radio. Screening of DVT was performed by compression ultrasound method in sitting position. In results, 63 DVTs were determined and the frequency of DVT was differed from each city The mean frequency of DVT was 4.20% (range 0-7.1%). The frequency of DVT was 4.56% (0-9.2%) in more than 40 years (n=1283). the frequency of DVT in general Japanese population using collecting method may be about 4.2-4.6%.

本研究的目的是阐明一般日本人群中DVT的频率。受试者为日本7个城市的1501名居民，平均年龄为60.0岁。通过公共信息、网页、报纸、广播等方式收集研究对象。采用坐位加压超声法筛查DVT。结果共检出DVT 63例，各城市DVT发生率不同，平均为4.20%（0 ~ 7.1%）。40年以上DVT发生率为4.56%（0 ~ 9.2%）（n=1283）。使用收集法，DVT在日本一般人群中的发生率可能约为4.2- 4.6%。
