本研究聚焦近年日资和日本人移民快速集聚的珠三角地区，主要采用统计分析、实地调查、访谈问卷的方法，探讨1990年代以来日资企业和日本人移民在珠三角的空间生产、动态变化及其对地方社会经济的影响机制。通过对日资企业和日本人移民生产生活活动的影响分析，综合审视和评估改革开放以来外资和外国人进入中国的内化过程，探究其对中国地方社会经济构建及国家间关系构建的影响，在已有研究的基础上形成对在华日资企业和日本人移民活动规律、以及国际化理论的系统认知，进而为全球化下中国进一步的国际化城市建设、对外开放策略及外资外国人移民管理提供理论和政策参考。

With the economic recession and immigration control in the developed countries, China in particular has been the most popular immigrant destination for the foreigners. The foreign population in China has increased quickly in several major metropolises due to the large inflow of FDI in the eastern coastal areas. Marjory of the foreigners in China are professional and managerial workers, or high-skilled technicians of foreign-invested enterprises, who expatriate from the developed countries to the developing countries. As a result, the international immigrant With the economic recession and immigration control in the developed countries, China in particular has been the most popular immigrant destination for the foreigners. The Japanese expatriates in China has increased quickly in several major metropolises due to the large inflow of FDI in the eastern coastal areas. Marjory of the Japanese expatriates in China are professional and managerial workers, or high-skilled technicians of foreign-invested enterprises. As a result, the international immigrant enclave with high-skilled Japanese expatriates have been formed and developed in the major metropolises. This study was done to examine: (1) the relationship between the Japanese FDI agglomerations and the international immigrant enclaves, (2) the development mechanism of the production of space by Japanese Enterprises and Japanese Expatriates in China, (3) the situation and causes of the segregating communities, by gathering the firsthand data by the fieldwork and the interviews. Therefore, the policy suggestions are put forward to attract and retain the foreign talent, and to improve the governence and service, in order to promote a better social integration of foreigners. As the sustained development of international immigrant communities is important to contribute to the economic and social internationalization, the international immigrant communities have attracted wide publicity and should be paid more attention.
