The aims of the project are to to devise space-time coding techniques and cost effective receiver structures for applications in future wireless data networks. We expect that new space-time codes would enable an increase in spectral efficiency by two orders of magnitude compared with the existing systems and allow the introduction of advanced multimedia services.
