The Development of Practice Evaluation Methods Enhances Nursing Competency and Improves Practices among Municipal Public Health Nurses

本研究旨在建立一套适合市级公共卫生护士在日常实习中实施的公共卫生护理实践评价方法，以提高其护理能力。我们调查了地方政府的实际绩效评估和公共卫生护理实践评估，注意区分绩效和实践评估。实践评估使用包含研究人员提出的问题的实践评估表进行。我们对它们进行了改进。制定的实践评估表和问题具有以下特点：公共卫生单位意识到有必要澄清其实践的目的，公共卫生单位在地方政府的行政活动中处理其实践，公共卫生单位通过讨论实践的目的共同学习。

The purpose of this study was to develop practice evaluation methods for public health nursing that can be implemented by municipal public health nurses (PHNs) in daily practice thus enhancing their nursing competency. We investigated actual performance evaluations in the local government and practice evaluations of public health nursing by PHNs, taking care to discriminate between performance and practice evaluation.Practice evaluations with PHNs were performed using practice evaluation sheets containing questions proposed by researchers. And we improved them. The practice evaluation sheets and questions developed had the following characteristics: PHNs are aware of the necessity in clarifying the purpose of their practice, PHNs address their practice within the administrative activities of the local government, and PHNs learn together through discussion of the purpose of practices.
