Second-hand smoking of kindergartners at home and their smoking family members' awareness: measurement of urine cotinine level and questionnaire survey

本研究旨在通过向吸烟家庭成员通报幼儿二手烟情况的干预措施，掌握幼儿戒烟行为的变化阶段和二手烟环境。干预结果显示，吸烟家庭成员的二手烟回避行为有所增加，但仍可检测到二手烟。尽管与戒烟行为改变的阶段没有统计学上的显著相关性，但全年都有多名吸烟者试图戒烟。根据这些结果，可以得出结论，通过改变吸烟地点来避免二手烟困难的干预和结果对吸烟家庭成员S戒烟的心态产生了一定的影响。

The purpose of this research is to grasping the stage of behavioral change toward abstention from smoking and the environment of the second-hand smoke among kindergarteners through the intervention of notifying the results of the conditions of second-hand smoke among kindergarteners to the smoking family members.The results of the intervention showed there was an increase in avoidance behavior against second-hand smoking among smoking family members; however, second-hand smoke was still detected. Although there was no statistically significant correlation with the stage of behavioral change toward abstention from smoking, there were multiple smokers trying to quit smoking throughout the year. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the intervention and the result showing the difficulty in avoidance of second-hand smoke through changing the location to smoke had some impact on the mindset of smoking family member s toward abstention from smoking.
