本研究では、日本語学習者が相対自他動詞を(1)どのように捉え、(2)どのように理解し、(3)どのように使用しているのか、という様々な側面に対し、語彙習得の観点から処理水準モデルを用いて段階的に説明し、日本語の相対自他動詞習得における様相を明らかにすることを目的とした。特に本年度では動画を用いた調査テスト作成および「形態論」に関する調査、「語用論」に関する調査のパイロット調査を目標に掲げていた。しかし、本年7月より(独)国際交流基金の派遣専門家としてドイツ・ケルン日本文化会館へ赴任し、特別研究員を辞退することとなったため、本年度の研究はその前段階における「KYコーパスで見る対のある自他動詞習得の課題」(現在、投稿中)および「料理文における日本語母語話者の動詞使用の特徴」の調査のみとなってしまった。調査1の「KYコーパスで見る対のある自他動詞習得の課題」では、KYコーパスという日本語学習者コーパスを使用し、中級から超級に能力が上がっていくにつれ、どのような傾向が見られるかを調査した。その結果、日本語学習者は対のある自他動詞を形態論→意味論→語用論の順に習得していく傾向が見られたため、中級では「正確さ」に、上級・超級では「適切さ」に力を入れて指導することでより効率的に習得させることができることを述べた。調査2の「料理文における日本語母語話者の動詞使用の特徴」では、新聞のレシピ記事より動詞を抽出し、レシピ記事内での動詞の用いられ方を調査した。現段階までの結果では「下ごしらえ」の段階において「N1はN2にV」(「にんじんは細切りにする」など)という形式を使用して、その後に行われる動作への関与が非明示的に示されている可能性があることを指摘している。今後は料理文における動詞の使用から自他動詞使用の特徴および自他動詞の機能を明らかにする予定である。
