25年度、前半においては、これまでの文献研究と現地調査の結果をまとめ、研究会などで発表を行い、不足しているデータを明確にすることに努めた。また、調査地の人々がアルパカの「遺伝的改良」と呼ぶ取り組みが具体的にどのようなものであり、それがかれらの生活にいかなる与える影響を与えているかについて、生殖管理、家畜品評会への参加、種畜としての生体個体の取引の実践から明らかにすることを目的とした論文を執筆した。12月から翌3月までは、ペルーにおいておよそ3か月半の補足的な現地調査を行った。継続して調査している村落の中心部に住み込み、各世帯の放牧地を訪ね、その位置を記録するとともに、その家族構成、飼養家畜頭数、放牧の起点となる小屋の数、家畜の改良活動や家畜品評会への参加の度合いを聞き取り調査によって明らかにした。さらに、村落には新たにアルパカ毛の利用に関する組織が入り、講習会などを開くとともに、町ではアルパカ毛の手工芸品製作を行っていた。ここでは、村落におけるアルパカの飼養だけではなく、手工芸品製作にも村民が関わっており、新たな動向であると考えられる。以上の調査により、これまで調査してきたインフォーマント家族の村における位置づけをある程度把握するとともに、新たな村の動向におけるデータを収集することができた。帰国後、これまでの調査データを整理・分析し、文献研究をまとめて、博士論文の執筆準備を進めている。
