本年度は主に三つの側面から、現代社会構造における精神療法の役割を明らかにする研究を行った。1. 近代社会から後期近代社会への移行の時期として位置づけられる1960年代の政治思想的潮流との関連から、同時代の精神分析家ジャック・ラカンの思想の展開を検討した。ここでは特に、俗に「68年5月」と呼ばれる政治的動乱や、ドゥルーズのマゾヒズム論、そしてアルチュセールによる「重層決定」概念の精神分析からの借用の射程などを考察した。ここでの考察により、一方で、現代社会構造の基盤としての「知識」の問題に接近することができたほか、他方では、そうした「知識」と主体との関係をめぐる変化として、「理論」主義から「実践」主義への大きな変化を跡付けることができた。2. 精神療法が社会的に確固たる位置を獲得する最大の契機として、第一次世界大戦における精神医学の状況を確認する研究を行った。そこでは独・仏・英における戦争神経症をめぐる言説を取り上げながら、「心的外傷」がクローズアップされていく過程、また、それと同時に心的介入としての精神療法に注目が集まっていく過程を明らかにすることができた。さらに、戦争神経症の精神療法というモデルに、その後、福祉国家のうちで一般化していく精神療法の社会包摂的機能を認めることなった。3. 現代社会構造における精神療法の役割にかんする具体的分析として、1970年代以降に活発化する災害トラウマに関する言説をとりあげ、分析を行った。記憶にも新しい東日本大震災での「こころのケア」の素早い動員を念頭に置きつつ、仮説として、現代社会構造を「トラウマを先取りする社会」と考え、さらにその特徴を「スペクタクル」性から検討した。以上に加え、本年はパリにおいてラカンに関する未開拓資料の調査、ウィーンにおいて大戦前後の精神分析関連資料の調査を行い、上記研究の内容をさらに豊かにすることができた。
