项目摘要

1. 〈遊女〉の生活実態に関わる基礎的事実の解明をすすめた(1)『梁塵秘抄』380番歌および『遊女記』の読解から、遊女・従女の服飾・身分的表象・出自等について解明を進めた。(2)『遊女記』の新解釈を提示し、〈遊女〉の得分について明らかにした。2. 〈遊女〉の身分論的把握をすすめた→(1)従女を中心として、〈遊女〉の「家」内外の権力関係を考察した。(2)『遊女記』をもとに、〈遊女〉集団内外の秩序・勢力関係について考察した。その結果、集団内部に遊女・従女の階層が、集団外部に「豪家之侍女」(出遊)との競合関係が存在することがわかった。3. 中世後期〈遊女〉史研究への展望をひらくべく、基礎作業を進めた→(1)〈遊女〉の芸態について、芸能史的系譜関係を考察するため、『梁塵秘抄』248番歌の新解釈を提示し、傀儡子と関わる可能性を指摘した。(2)〈遊女〉の芸能を中世芸能環境の中に位置づけるため、仏教芸能を中心として、広く文化・芸能状況の調査を行った。また、神社関係の新出史料を中心に法楽芸能における歌女参仕について分析・考察した。(3)女性を含む芸能者、および被差別民と関連の深い祇園社に関してその実態を探るため、その統括者である社家に関して基礎的な分析を行った。さらに、祇園祭に関する文献の紹介と批判を行った。また、同じく芸能者・被差別民との関係が深い賀茂社に関して新出史料の分析を進めた。
