研究実施計画に記した二つの柱は以下の通りである。項目ごとに記しておく。1、藤沢市内の関連寺院調査・研究(1)西富(時宗総本山遊行寺長生院小栗堂)…平成23年度に調査した文書のうち、縁起を対象に本文の内容解明に取り組んだ。本山の日鑑類から縁起の成立時期を絞り、他の時宗の勧進活動の様子と比較検討した結果、近世期の時宗寺院では地誌や当代の文芸を巧みに縁起に取り込み、人々への喧伝に利用していたことが判明した。以上は平成24年9月に行われた仏教文学会で発表した。(2)辻堂(石井家辻堂茂兵衛資料館)…資料の翻刻の第二弾を学内の紀要に掲載した。2、説経関連の絵巻・絵入り写本の調査・研究調査予定であった(1)天理大学附属図書館(2)栃木県立図書館、二か所の研究機関の調査に取り組んだ。(1)天理大学附属図書館…1968年に上梓された『説経正本集』所収された貴重資料の現状を調査カードに記録。平成25年度完成予定の説経正本の系統図・年表作成の充実を図った。(2)栃木県立図書館…調査した資料のうちの一本が、岩佐又兵衛古浄瑠璃絵巻群としても知られる『堀江物語』の異本であることが明らかとなった。関連資料が集中して伝来する、栃木県矢板市を訪れ現地調査を行った結果、問題の異本が矢板市を中心とする塩谷郡一帯で多数見つかり、村落で書写され伝わってきたものであることが分かった。これらの伝本は民間での語り物の実態を示す資料として貴重であり、平成24年11月の伝承文学研究会東京例会でその重要性を報告した。資料の解題・翻刻とともに平成25年6月発行予定の『伝承文学研究会』第61号に掲載する(掲載確定)。
