项目摘要

「半自然草原に生息する絶滅危惧種のチョウの保全に関する研究」をテーマに以下の研究実績をあげた.1.ミヤマシジミの食草選択実験:ミヤマシジミは本来コマツナギのみを食草にしているが、海外に生息しているミヤマシジミは多食性であることが知られている。そこで、ミヤマシジミに他の食草を与えたところ、クサフジ、ナヨクサフジ、ダイズ、シロツメクサを摂食し、成虫になった。しかし、コマツナギ食のミヤマシジミと比較して、正常な発育とは言えなかった。2.ミヤマシジミの母蝶の産卵選好性実験:1において、コマツナギ以外でも発育することが明らかとなったため、成虫が他の植物へ産卵するか実験した。その結果、成虫はコマツナギに有意に産卵することが分かり、コマツナギと最も形質が近いと考えられる外来コマツナギにも、あまり産卵しなかった。3.ミヤマシジミ休眠卵と非休眠卵の産み分け実験:ミヤマシジミは卵で越冬することが知られている。よって、夏の間は非休眠卵を産卵するが、最終化性の成虫は休眠卵を産卵する。そこで、成虫がいつ、なにを感受して産み分けをしているか調べるために、実験を行った。その結果、幼虫期を長日条件にした個体は他のステージが短日条件でも非休眠卵を産み、幼虫期を短日条件にした個体は休眠卵を産卵した。よって感受期は幼虫期であることが分かった。4.オオルリシジミのDNA解析のためのサンプル集め:DNA解析を行うために安曇野市と東御市のオオルリシジミのサンプリング調査を行った。また、本来生息していない地域から突発的に発生している個体が見つかったために、サンプリングを行った。5.オオルリシジミの生息地調査:オオルリシジミの保全活動が円滑に進んでいる東御市の生息地調査を行った。その結果、一定間隔に食草のクララが植栽されており、火入れは土地所有者は毎年行っていることが明らかとなった。
