まずは昨年度より引き続き, 人間行動進化学に関する考察を行なった. 人間行動進化学は近年急速に発展しつつある分野だが, この分野に関して哲学的に考察し, たとえば進化心理学などの研究プログラムがどの程度妥当なのかや, さらにもっと具体的な人間行動の進化の実例として, 教育の進化に関する考察などを行った. その一部はSociety for Philosophy and Psychologyのmeetingにて発表を行なった. さらに, これらの成果は博士論文としても提出したが, それらを再度まとめ直し, また文化の進化に関するより体系的な考察を追加した単著として出版するため, 現在作業を進めている. 今年度中には出版される予定である. これは研究目的の「(1)文化の進化的研究を分析しながら, 様々な研究プログラムの妥当性や問題点をさらに明確にし, (2)これらの研究プログラムの統合可能性を探る」こと, さらに「(3)いわば人文学・社会科学の対象となってきた「文化」について, 進化的思考・研究方法という生物学的方法論がどの程度適用可能なのか」という問い, そして年次計画3年目の「様々な概念や理論の中で, 文化と生物の両方において成立しうるもの, あるいはどちらか片方にしか成立しないものなどの分析」に関わる研究である.次に, 心理学の哲学として, 主に発達心理学と比較心理学に関して, 科学史・科学哲学的に考察した. 発達心理学に関してはその発展史を追いながら, 学際性と専門性がバランスよく保たれてきたことを明らかにし, 共著の書籍の一章として執筆した. 比較心理学に関しては, 擬人主義と反擬人主義の両者を擁護しながら, 新しい研究プログラムの必要性を論じ, ISHPSSBの国際会議にて発表を行なった.このように今年度は, 当初の予定は確実にこなしながらも, 新たなテーマの研究も進行させることができた.
