Synthetic studies and SAR of the structurally complex indole diterpenes showing strong insecticidal activities

众所周知，吲哚二萜具有有趣的生物活性，如杀虫、抑制线粒体分裂和抗mrsa活性。因此，这些化合物的合成研究和化学供应可以解决其作用机制，并有助于化学生态学、细胞生物学、医学科学等各生物学领域的发展。但是，由于其结构复杂，这类天然产物很难合成。在这项研究中，我们开发了一种高效的方法来构建吲哚二萜骨架，并实现了震颤生物碱paspalinine和孕酮受体激动剂lecanindole D的全合成。

Indole diterpenes are known to possess intriguing biological activity such as insecticidal, mito-inhibitory, and anti-MRSA activities. Therefore, synthetic studies and chemical supply of these compounds could solve the mechanism of action and contribute to development of various biology such as chemical ecology, cell biology, medicinal science. But, it was difficult to synthesis this family of natural products due to their complex structures. In this study, we have developed an efficient method to construct the indole diterpine framework and achieved total synthesis of paspalinine, a tremorgenic alkaloid, and lecanindole D, a progesterone receptor agonist.
