Establishment of the mesureing system for early diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease using blood biological markers.

本研究的目的是纯化阿尔茨海默病（Alzheimer's disease， AD）血清中改变的两种糖蛋白，分析AD中改变的区域，并建立检测系统。然而，在纯化过程中，我们遇到了一些问题，比如在靶糖蛋白中有另一个糖链被污染。虽然我们不能进行进一步的分析，但我们最终确定了最合适的纯化蛋白质的方法，目前正在作为第一个计划推进。我们发现，老年痴呆症患者血清中唾液酸与转铁蛋白结合的唾液转移酶（STase）含量和活性均较低。这提示了AD患者唾液酸改变的原因之一。

The purpose of this study was to purify two glycoproteins, which is altered in Alzheimer's disease (AD) serum, analyze the region changed in AD, and then establish the measuring system. However, we had the problems during the steps of purify them, for example another sugar chains contaminated in the target glycoproteins. Although we cannot progress analysis, we finally decided the most suitable way to purify the proteins and are now advancing as the first planning. And we found the both content and the activity of serum sialyltransferase (STase) which attach the sialic acid to the transferrin are lower in Alzheimer's serum. This indicates one of the causes about altered sialic acid in AD.
