2013年度も引き続き、チベット・ビルマ語派ジンポー語を対象とする研究を行った。2回の海外現地調査を実施し、成果として、国際会議において3回、国内会議において3回、国内研究会において4回の研究発表を行った。海外現地調査の内容は以下の通りである。(1)2013年12月に、ミャンマーのカチン州Myitkyina市において、標準ジンポー語を対象とする臨地調査を実施し、前年度までに調査した項目に関する補完調査を行った。(2)同時期に、Gauh方言の基礎語彙調査を行い、語彙1000語の録音と書き起こし作業を行った。(3)同時期に、Duleng方言とDingga方言の語彙調査を実施し、それぞれ1600語、2300語の録音を行った。(4)2014年2月に、インドのアッサム州Margherita市およびJorhat市において、Numphuk方言とTurung方言の調査を行い、ジンポー語比較方言学的観点から特に重要となる語彙を中心に調査を実施した。2013年度の主要な成果は以下の通りである。(1)標準ジンポー語の声調に関する学会発表を行った。成節鼻音声調を対象に音韻分析を施し、音声的に実現する3つの声調が基底の2つの声調に還元可能であることを示した。(2)Dingga方言の音韻論に関する学会発表を行い、この方言の分節音・声調・音韻交替をまとめた。(3)Duleng方言、Shang方言、Dingga方言の系統に関する学会発表を行い、これらが系統的に近い関係にあることを共通の音韻改新・形態改新・意味改新を根拠として主張した。(4)ジンポー語比較方言学に関する学会発表を行い、共通の音韻改新を根拠にジンポー語方言の下位分類を試みた。
