本年度は平戸藩を対象に、（１）藩主松浦静山の書物収集と対外認識、（２）松浦静山周辺の知識人ネットワークに関する研究を行った。（１）京都大学附属図書館において、平戸藩の文庫の書物目録である「楽歳堂蔵書目録」の調査を行った。その結果、松浦静山が書物を「内篇」と「外篇」に分類し、幕府による巡検が行われた蝦夷地・伊豆諸島の記録を「内篇」、ロシア周辺やヨーロッパに関する書物を「外篇」に組み入れて、18世紀末から19世紀初頭の国際情勢に関する認識を深めていったことを明らかにした。また、オランダ王立図書館において、18世紀末に日本に輸入された洋書の調査を行った。そして、静山が18世紀前半にヨーロッパで刊行された書物を入手し、平戸藩の政治・学問情勢と関わらせながらヨーロッパの君主像を判断していたことを解明した。（２）松浦史料博物館所蔵松浦家文書のうち、静山に関係する書状類を調査・撮影した。まず、京都の儒者皆川淇園が静山および平戸藩家老の長村内蔵助に宛てた書状や詩文を分析し、淇園が儒学的な知識に基づいて平戸を異国船に対する「藩衛」と位置づけるとともに、そのための文武振興や「仁政」の実施を求めていたことを明らかにした。続いて、静山が長村内蔵助に宛てた書状から、林述斎を含む江戸の知識人ネットワークのなかで、静山が平戸や周辺の島嶼への関心を深めたことを解明した。さらに、静山が「平戸考」（松浦家文書）と題した地誌を編纂し、中国と日本の境界にある島嶼に関する情報を幕府に提供したことを明らかにした。以上から、18世紀における対外関係の変容が儒学的な枠組みによって捉えられ、境界に接する藩の自己認識や藩政に影響を与えたことを解明した。この成果は、2015年5月に開催される歴史学研究会大会近世史部会報告「近世日本における対外関係の変容と「藩」意識」にて発表する予定である。

(2) Matsuura Historical Materials Museum, Matsuura family documents, Shizuyama relations, book type investigation, collection of shadow.
