Career transition of Japanese female football players

本研究的目的是揭示日本女运动员在日本的爱情生活和婚姻的基础上的职业生涯过程，并验证角色退出模型对这些运动员的有用性。从本研究可以看出，日本女足运动员在参加顶级联赛和活动前，大多没有职业焦虑。而且，他们是非自愿退休的，不存在“角色残留”和“角色宿醉”。但是，职业进程是由婚姻意识决定的。因此，对于日本女运动员来说，婚姻成为职业转型的决定性因素。角色退出理论和角色退出模型应该在语境中进行修正，考虑到女性的特殊因素。

The purpose of this study was to reveal the career process of Japanese women athletes in Japan on the basis of their love life and marriage, and to verify the usefulness of the Role Exit Model for these players.From this study, Most Japanese female football players do not have anxiety about their career before they play a Top-league and activity. And, they faced retirement involuntarily, and they do not have "role residual" or "role hangover". But, the career process was determined by being conscious of marriage. Therefore, for Japanese women athletes, marriage becomes a decisive factor of career transition. And, The Role Exit Theory and the Role Exit Model should be modified in the context in consideration of a factor peculiar to a woman.
