Learner Characteristics and a Genre-Based Approach: Toward Materials Development

本研究旨在探索一种以体裁为基础的学术写作教学方法，关注学习者的特点，并期望将研究结果用于开发更有效的写作材料。本研究对100名大学生进行了问卷调查，以提取学习者特征。然后分析提取的因素与写作表现的关系，参与者在撰写研究论文介绍后获得的分数。在对现有学术写作教材进行全面考察后，作者根据研究结果提出了可能的教材建议。

This research aimed to explore a genre-based approach to academic writing with a focus on learner characteristics, and the results were expected to be incorporated into developing more effective materials. The questionnaire survey was administered to 100 college students to extract learner characteristics. The extracted factors were then analyzed in relation to the writing performances, the scores the participants received after writing a research paper introduction. After a comprehensive examination of current academic writing textbooks, possible materials were suggested based on the research results.
