The aim of this research is to examine the reliability and validity of political trust scale by survey experiment. This research especially focuses on the effect of not question wording but answer scale design: 3-point, 5-point or 10-point scale. The findings of this research are following three. First, the distribution of political trust is changed by scale rating. Second, the correlations between political trust and the other variables are also changed by scale rating. Third, however, the effects of scale rating depend on context surrounding respondents. In other words, this finding may imply that it is difficult to generalize the effect of answer scale design.

本研究的目的是通过调查实验检验政治信任量表的信度和效度。本研究特别关注的不是问题措辞，而是答案量表设计的效果：3分制，5分制和10分制。本研究的发现有以下三点。首先，政治信任的分布会因量表评分而改变。其次，政治信任与其他变量之间的相关性也会随着量表评分的变化而变化。第三，然而，规模评级的影响取决于受访者周围的环境。换句话说，这一发现可能意味着很难概括答案量表设计的效果。
