项目摘要

昨年度に引き続き、2015年度も日本語における主要部移動の検討を行った。本研究では和語動詞(例: 訪ねる)と漢語動詞(例: 訪問する)の二者間に見られる差異を取り上げ、以下の2つの記述的一般化に着目した。①目的と述語から構成される連鎖の省略は、文の述語が漢語動詞である場合は容認されるが、和語動詞である場合は容認されない。②和語動詞文では目的語の省略により「発音されない副詞」の解釈が容認されるが、漢語動詞文では目的語の省略はこれを認可しない。一般化①はKageyama (1977), Poser (1989)などの先行研究により確立されていたが、近年の統語論研究においては論じられる機会が比較的少なく見受けられるものである。これに対し、一般化②はFunakoshi (2014)によって確立された一般化をさらに精緻化したものである。これらの一般化を捉えうる記述的に妥当な文法は、「和語動詞述語を主要部移動により動詞句の外へと義務的に上昇させる一方で、漢語動詞述語を義務的に規定位置に留める」文法でなければならない、と提案した。本研究の成果はすでに国内外で発表済みであり、シカゴ言語学会(2015年4月、シカゴ大学)、慶應言語学コロキアム(2016年3月、慶應義塾大学)にて口頭発表を行った。
