项目摘要

ヒトを含む動物には、他者の存在下で行動の頻度や速度が上がる「社会的促進」が広く見られる。本研究の目的は、ヒトにおける社会的促進の神経基盤とともに、「社会性の障害」とされる自閉スペクトラム症(ASD)の神経科学的背景を解明することであった。これを達成すべく、(1)ヒトで社会的促進がロバストに起こる行動課題の確立、(2)神経機構解明のためにfMRIを導入するにあたり、メインの行動課題からは独立した、賦活領域を比較するアンカーとしての「localizer課題」の確立、を試みた。(1)「社会採餌ゲーム」を開発し、一般人を対象に行動実験を行った。「餌」の奪い合いがなくても、他者存在下で「餌場」への滞在時間が短くなるnon-specificな社会的促進がみられた。聴覚の感覚偏奇が強いほど、社会的促進が抑制される傾向がみられた。餌場滞在時間には性差がみられた(男性>女性)。(2) “Monetary incentive delayタスク”(MIDタスク; 報酬金額を予告したのち、ターゲットに合わせてうまくボタンを押すことができれば金銭報酬をプレイヤーに与える、というゲーム課題)をlocalizerとして確立した。外的な金銭報酬と「内的な報酬」、つまりゲームをうまくプレイすることそのものの効果とを分離するため、独自に改変したMIDタスクを用いて検討した。外的な報酬の予告期には先行研究と同様、腹側線条体を含む一連の「報酬系」領域の賦活を認めた。内的な報酬の予告中には運動前野が、結果呈示期には体性感覚野・感覚運動連合野が賦活していた。社会的促進の神経基盤の解明に必要な実験パラダイムを得るとともに、社会的促進がASDの特徴の一つである感覚偏奇と関連することを示唆する結果を得た。しかし、社会的促進がASDと直接に関連している証拠は得られなかった。神経機構の解明も今後の課題として残った。
