项目摘要

本研究の目的は、小規模コーヒー生産者である地域住民が実践するコーヒーアグロフォレストリーの重要性を、地域住民の生活全体の中に位置づけて理解することである。先行研究ではアグロフォレストリーとして利用する土地のみが分析対象となり、他生業や土地利用の中での相対化がなされず、地域住民の生活に適合するアグロフォレストリーの重要性の理解は不十分であった。本研究では、パナマ共和国・コクレ県を対象として、コーヒー林、焼畑など、（１）各世帯が保有する土地利用区分全体を調査対象とし、それぞれの資源や利用状況、重要性を明らかにし、同時に（２）各世帯の生計戦略とそこから生じる自然資源利用の共通・相違点からそれぞれの特徴を明らかにすることを課題とした。平成27年度は、上記の課題に沿ってパナマ共和国において2度のフィールドワークを実施した。年間を通しての栽培・収穫・消費の実態を把握し、それぞれの土地利用の重要性を整理した。また、農業分野以外の生業に関する調査も行った。社会・経済的背景の変化に対し人々が柔軟に対応してきたなかで、生業戦略に応じて役割が変化する可変的なコーヒーアグロフォレストリーの実践が明らかになった。各世帯の生業戦略の全体像の中でコーヒーアグロフォレストリーの相対化を試みる中で、今後の社会・経済的変化の中でも人々の生業を支えるアグロフォレストリーの重要な要因の検討につなげることが可能になる成果となったといえる。

The purpose of this study is to understand the importance of small-scale agricultural production and the overall position of agricultural production in the lives of local residents. In the whole picture of each world's life strategy, we will try to find out the relationship between them. In the future, we will try to find out the relationship between them. In the middle of the society's life strategy, we will discuss the important factors of them.
