项目摘要

本年度は、戦後大阪における生活綴方運動史の研究とその基礎作業となる生活綴方運動史の全体像の再検討を行った。以下に示すように、「生活綴方」を対象としているとはいえ研究対象は多岐にわたるものとなった。総じて「生活綴方」と呼ばれるものの東アジア近現代教育思想史上の歴史的意義を再定義するための重要な手がかりが得られたものと考える。１．戦後大阪における生活綴方運動：（１）戦後大阪における生活綴方運動に思想的な影響を与えた芦田恵之助の教育思想研究として、1930年初頭に芦田が日本統治下台湾を訪問した際の日記（人間文化研究機構国立国語研究所研究図書室所蔵「芦田恵之助先生教壇記録」）の翻刻作業に加わり、解説を付して「資料紹介」として発表した。（２）1970年代の大阪綴方の会の教師たちが編集・発行した会誌『国語教育』誌の検討を通じて、大阪綴方の会の教師たちの作品批評論を検討した。（3）大阪綴方の会の野名龍二氏へのインタビュー調査を行い、インタビュー記録にまとめた。２．生活綴方運動史の全体像の再検討：（１）1930年代後半の生活綴方運動に現れた「国語国字問題」にかんする議論に着目し、綴方教師たちが、子どもたちが用いる生活語との関係で「国語」それ自体を問い直す実践を試みていたことを明らかにした。（２）戦後生活綴方の理論的な指導者・国分一太郎の1950年代の言説を対象に、1950年代に国分が展開した「生活綴方的教育方法」論の内実を同時代の社会情勢とのかかわりで検討した。３．生活綴方運動史の史学史：（１）生活綴方史研究の第一人者である中内敏夫の研究を、彼が生活綴方史研究に着手した高度成長期という時代状況を踏まえて検討し、1960年代初頭の中内の生活綴方史研究が同時代の「技術革新」を教育実践においてどう受け止めるべきかという課題に対する応答としてなされていたことを明らかにした。
