项目摘要

当該年度は、ダニエル書および第1エノク書に代表されるユダヤ教黙示文学とメソポタミアの楔形文字文書を比較しつつ、さらに黙示文学以外の旧約聖書文書や死海文書も対象に加えて、メソポタミアで高度の発展を遂げていた文書文化（literate culture）が前6世紀のいわゆるバビロン捕囚を経たユダヤに影響を及ぼしていた形跡を確認した。そこから、メソポタミア文化に触発され、前1千年紀後半にユダヤでも、さまざま文書やそれらの相互関係に依拠する宗教文化が生まれ、その脈絡の中、預言者が語る託宣も卜占師が解き明かす夢告も、すべては神がさまざまな記号を駆使して記した文書であり、その正しい解釈は神から霊を授けられることにより可能になるとする啓示思想が生まれたと考えた。そして、ユダヤ教黙示文学はその思潮に沿って、文書としての啓示を霊感により解釈するという知性と霊性との統合を主張したものであるとする結論に達した。以上の研究成果のうち、ダニエル書と楔形文字文書の比較を通じて得たダニエル書の主人公ダニエルの造形に前6世紀のバビロニア王ナボニドスの経歴や自己理解が反映されているとする見方を日本旧約学会において口頭発表として報告した。また、バビロンの廷臣とダニエルとの競合を描くダニエル書の物語の背後に、メソポタミアで王権の保護下に発達した文書文化への対抗意識が読み取られることについて、日本聖書学研究所で口頭発表を行った。さらに、ダニエル書と死海文書と楔形文字文書を横断してメソポタミアに由来する文学的な動機や表象が認められる事例を日本オリエント学会で口頭発表として報告した。
