项目摘要

本年度は、当初の計画では開発したシステムを用いて長期利用の実験を行う予定であったが、昨年度の実験によりシステム改良の必要性が明らかとなったことから、計画を一部変更し、システムの大幅な改良作業と利用シーンの整理、昨年度の実験結果の分析を行なった。1.システムの改良については、昨年度に開発した地域情報の通知を行うスマートフォンアプリケーションと住民参加型の通知デザイン環境について、消費電力の低減、ユーザ入力機能の強化、beaconやプロジェクター等の通知への気づきを強化するデバイス利用のための機能拡張を行った。2.利用シーンの整理については、様々な団体との意見交換を通じて実現価値の高い利用シナリオを描くことができた。具体的には、研究成果を基に事業化構想の立案を行う東京大学edgeプログラムに参加し、本システムを地域観光に活用する可能性を検討した。本成果はビジネスプランとしてまとめ、シリコンバレーで発表を行った。現地の投資家らから有益な助言を得たことから、今後プランと実装を洗練させることで、本システムの活用法の一つとして社会にアピールできると考える。また、地域住民や空き家活用支援団体へのインタビューから、空き家の状態情報を地域で収集する仕組みとして本システムの活用可能性を検討した。本成果の一部は、国内外の学会ワークショップ等で発表を行った。3.昨年度の実験分析については、通知の受信・返信ログの蓄積を利用することで、素早く回答されやすい通知や通知の設定場所を推測できる可能性を中心に行った。本成果は、国際会議で発表を行いBest Paper Awardを受賞するに至った。本研究で、スマートフォンの通知が実世界環境の一要素として、公共的な思考を持ってデザインされるべき対象であることを定量的に示したことから、コンテクストアウェア通知の汎用的活用を促す上で多くの洞察を提供できたと考える。
