28年度は、博士課程在籍最終年と位置づけ、二本の投稿論文執筆と、博士論文のまとめに取り組んだ。一本目の投稿論文 “The Changing Landscape of International Migration: Evidence from Rural Households in Bangladesh, 2000-2014”は、海外出稼ぎ及び海外送金受給家計の属性を時系列的に分析し、その変容について背景を説明しようとするものである。分析の結果、当初は資産家が多く参加していた海外出稼ぎであったが、近年では資産や収入の低い農村家計も出稼ぎを行っていることがわかった。その背景として受け入れ国の非熟練労働者の需要が堅調であること、出稼ぎ資金の調達が容易になったこと、バングラデシュにおける熟練労働者の需要が高まっていることなどがあると分析した。二本目の投稿論文 “An Inquiry into the Heterogeneous Outcomes of International Migration:　Evidence from Rural Households in Bangladesh”は、海外出稼ぎ家計の消費と投資額について、出稼ぎのステージに家計をグループ分けした上で、パネル分析を行った。出稼ぎを始めたばかりの家計では、主に消費や教育の支出が増えたが、農業やビジネスへの投資額が減少していた。一方帰還した家計は消費や教育への支出は出稼ぎ時の水準を維持しつつ、ビジネス投資が増加したことが分かった。出稼ぎが長期的に、投資に正の影響を与えることが示唆された。投稿論文は、現在国際学術ジャーナルに投稿中である。博士論文内容・結果について、在東京バングラデシュ大使館にて大使へ直接ブリーフィングを行った。
