幼児が会話，動作，視線などの諸位相での相互作用を通して協働で造形表現を行う過程を検討した。まず，動作に着目し，①幼稚園4歳児2クラスを対象に1年間の観察研究を行い，４歳児が「見せる」動作を行う相手と機能について分析した（研究3: 発達科学研究教育センター紀要『発達』第30巻）。また，対象児2名に焦点を当て，4歳児と特定の他児との関係形成に従って，製作場面において幼児がモノを他児に「見せる」行為および「見せる」行為によって生じる製作過程がどのように変容するのかを分析した（研究4：ヨーロッパ乳幼児教育学会第25回大会口頭発表）。そして，幼児がモノを他児に「見せる」行為がどのような応答を受けるのか，その応答が「見せた」側の幼児の製作表現過程にどのような影響を及ぼすのかを分析した（研究5：国際幼児教育学研究，第23巻）。さらに，会話に着目して，幼児の「つくる」活動と「つくったモノで遊ぶ」活動の展開過程を分析した（研究6）。また，素材が誘発する幼児間の相互作用について分析した（研究7：日本保育学研究第68回）。平成27年度以前に行った研究1，研究2と，本年度研究3から6を合わせて博士論文を執筆し，受理された。研究3では，幼児の造形表現場面での「見せる」行為には，大別して＜製作結果の伝達＞と＜製作過程での交渉＞の2つの機能があることが示された。研究4では，幼児間の「見せる」行為は，親しい関係にある幼児間で交わされることが多く，その関係の質的変化に伴い，表現過程にも相違が見られることが示された。研究5では，「つくる」活動と「つくったモノで遊ぶ」活動の展開に，幼児の発達的変化だけでなく，幼児個人の「表現スタイル」の影響が大きいことが示された。研究7では，素材によって幼児の相互作用の特徴が異なることを明らかにし，今後，造形表現場面で協働を誘発する素材について検討するための手がかりを得た。
