During this year, I have successfully defended my thesis entitled “Understanding the ecological and evolutionary processes shaping ant biodiversity across spatiotemporal scales” and submitted my thesis. I continued working on the project “Comparative phylogeography, phylogenomics, and population genomics of the ant genus Strumigenys in the Pacific archipelago”. In this project, I applied a comparative phylogeographic framework to examine the evolution of the hyperdiverse ant genus Strumigenys in Fiji archipelago using RAD sequencing. A draft of the manuscript was also ready.I was also collaborating with other researchers on different projects1.
