琉球古典音楽（野村流）の歌唱技法による歌声の音響的特徴の解明について、本年度は上直吟、下直吟、次第上、次第下、ネーイなどによる歌声データを中心に分析を行った。琉球古典音楽は、琉球王朝時代に発祥した沖縄の伝統芸能音楽である。最もポピュラーな流派の野村流には、楽譜の工工四に歌唱技法が記譜されている。約２０種類の技法が体系化されているが、歌声の音響的特徴(高さ、大きさ、音色など)に関する記載が工工四に存在しない。また技法による歌声の音響的特徴についても、ほとんど検討されていない。本課題は、野村流師範代の歌唱データを収録し、音響的特徴を分析することで、学習への応用や伝統芸能の保存と後世への継承につながることが期待される。冒頭で述べた５つの技法は、歌声の音響的特徴が全く検討されておらず、本課題が初の試みである。上直吟と下直吟は、音声を一定に保つような技法であると述べられており、歌声に関する記述がある珍しい技法である。分析結果より、上直吟と下直吟ではピッチに明確な周期的変動が見られないこと、またその変動幅が極めて小さいことなどから、音響的にもノンビブラートのような歌唱音声であることが確認された。次第上と次第下は、上体や顎を次第に上げる・下げるように歌う技法であり、次第に発声ピッチが上がる・下がるように聞こえる。分析結果より、実際には次第上はグリッサンドのような直線的な音高変化を、次第下はポルタメントのような逆S字的な音高変化をそれぞれ示すことがわかった。得られた研究成果は、日本音響学会秋季研究発表会および音楽情報科学研究会音学シンポジウムにて発表した。現在、これまでの研究成果をまとめた論文を執筆中である。本研究を遂行するにあたり、２～３月に沖縄へ渡航し、研究資料の収集や、野村流師範代の方々との意見交換、演奏見学、実験の打ち合わせ、本実験などを行った。
