项目摘要

今年度は文晁の画業の中でも「大名庭園の絵画化」が持ち得た意味、そして庭園画制作における文晁様式の確立と周囲への影響について考察を進めた。まず、文晁の庭園画の中でも最初期作にあたる「浴恩園図記」（天理大学附属天理図書館蔵）について博士論文の第四章としてまとめた。合装される栗山と蒙斎の園記も読み解きながら、作画内容を分析し、「浴恩園図記」の制作意図を考察した。各図の画中モティーフの解釈を中心に進め、定信と将軍家斉の関係を示唆する図や、定信が老中在任中に最も力を入れた施策を彷彿とさせる図の存在を指摘した。そして文晁には先に成立していた栗山と蒙斎の園記とともに、浴恩園の景観を通じて定信の人格と政治家としての理念を表現することを課せられていたと結論づけた。加えて第三図に文晁が園記には言及のない人物像を見いだし、それらが「漁隠」と「共楽」という二つの理念の象徴であると解釈した。最後に制作目的について、寛政五年七月の定信の老中退任との関わりに着目して論じた。次に屋代弘賢文・菅原洞斎画「衆楽園図」（文化四年頃、千秋文庫）に注目し、文晁の庭園画が同時代に与えた影響を考察した。本作は秋田藩が江戸城北・新堀村に有した抱屋敷の庭園・衆楽園を題材とし、弘賢が和文と和歌をしたため、洞斎が園内二十景を描くものである。実見調査を実施し、その成果を2019年3月発刊の『待兼山論叢』52号にまとめた。内容としては、本作において衆楽園の「名園」化と衆楽園の主・佐竹義和の「名君」化が目指されていたと指摘した。上記２篇の論文執筆に加え、韓国国立中央博物館での木村蒹葭堂「蒹葭堂雅集図」の調査なども実施し、江戸時代後期における絵師を取り巻く文化的・社会的・政治的文脈の読み解きを進めてきた。これらの成果をまとめ、博士申請論文を大阪大学大学院文学研究科に提出し、2019年3月25日に学位が授与された。

The results of the investigation were published in March 2019 as No. 52 of the "To Be and Mountain Discussion Series". The content of this book is "The Garden of Fame" and "The Garden of Fame" is "The Garden of Fame". The above two papers were written in the National Museum of Korea. The investigation of "Jianjiatang Yaji" in Kimura Jianjiatang was carried out in the late Edo period. The cultural, social and political context was analyzed in detail. The results of this research were presented by the Graduate School of Literature, Osaka University. On March 25, 2019, the degree was awarded.
