项目摘要

本研究の目的はイブン・スィーナー（980-1037年）以降のギリシア系医学の中東世界における展開を解明することである。彼の著書『医学典範』は中東世界におけるギリシア系医学の集大成であり、これに対する注釈書を読み解くことで研究の目的を達することができる。三年度目の期間全体を通じて主に調査対象としたのが、クトゥブッディーン・シーラーズィー（1236-1311年）の注釈書である。アラビア語で書かれた写本・校訂本などの一次資料の読解、ペルシア語やヨーロッパ諸語による二次資料の収集・内容把握などが日常的な作業であったが、そのほか特筆すべき事柄について以下に述べる。2018年8月から9月にかけて約7週間、日本学術振興会のプログラム「ERCとの協力による特別研究員の海外渡航支援事業」の枠組みで、フィンランドのユヴァスキュラ大学の研究者であるヤリ・カウクア（Jari Kaukua）教授の研究プロジェクトに参加した。このプロジェクトの活動の一つが、週に一回のペースで行われた神学に関するアラビア語テクストの講読のミーティングである。そこでは十二世紀の学者であるファフルッディーン・ラーズィーや十五世紀の学者であるアラーウッディーン・クーシュジーの哲学書が扱われた。これはイブン・スィーナー没後の知的伝統を探る本研究の目的に適うものであった。2018年12月、地学史研究会でイスラーム宇宙論についての講演を行った。イブン・スィーナーの宇宙論とそれに対する後世の思想家の対応に焦点を絞った。特別研究員の研究課題に特に関わる内容としては、ナースィレ・フスラウの哲学書の記述に心臓がルーフの容器であるとの一節があり、イブン・スィーナーの医学に見られるギリシア系医学の主流の考え方が現れている点を指摘した。ペルシア語資料にあたることで確認できたことであり、この講演は特別研究員の研究課題遂行の上で有益であった。
