项目摘要

2022年度はコロナ禍の影響で、東マレーシア、サラワク州のPenanならびにVaie Segan村落での聞き取り調査を行うことができなかった。これらの調査村落は内陸辺境部に位置し、過疎が進んだ地域でり、高齢者が多く、対面調査の実施することができず、臨地調査のために計上していた予算の執行を行うことができなかった。本科学研究費助成事業（学術研究助成基金助成金）については、補助事業期間延長承認申請書を提出し、研究計画変更に伴った補助事業期間の延長を行った。2022年度は、文献研究のみをおこない、マレーシア領サラワク州Kemena川水系の「中流域」と「汽水域・沿岸部」で、山地民起源のイスラム系民族集団Vaie Segan（バイ・スガン）とイスラム化が進行する元狩猟採集民集団Penanについての史資料の精査を行った。特に、歴史資料としては、The Sarawak Gazette （サラワク官報）に1870年から1879年に掲載されたMonthly District Report（月次地区報告）をすべて精査し、Vaie SeganならびにPenanに関する民族誌的資料の収集に努めた。
