Collection of neutron powder diffraction data under high magnetic fields at Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, UK, allowed the observation of non-trivial magnetic ordering for CaFe3Ti4O12. These data along with additional magnetic-property characterization techniques such as heat capacity and Mossbauer spectroscopy were combined to reveal unprecedented insights into the unusual properties of these A'A3B4O12 materials.
