最終年度となる二年目は、研究のアウトプットとして、論文に限らず各種発表に積極的に取り組んだ。結果、国内発表1本、国外発表1本（発表は2019年8月だが、採択は2019年3月）を発表した。また、本研究をベースにした研究発表についての新聞掲載を1本いただいた。さらに、本研究の基礎研究部分である、人間の弱さ（Backhand）に関するKegan &Lahey (2016).を用いた研究計画が認められ、民間の研究助成採択をいただくなど、多種多様な成果を残すことができた。本研究の目的は、「研修者・（支援活動としての）教師研修・研修実施者」の3つの視点に基づいた教師の支援法開発を行うことが目的である。二年目も本研究は小中一貫校で実施され、研究Cの研修実施者による研修開発研究を行った。今回研究に協力くださった学校は、就学援助率（生活保護法第6条第2項に規定する要保護児童および市町村教育委員会が生活保護法第6条第2項に規定する要保護者に準ずる程度に困窮していると認める児童が、全体の就学児童数に占める割合）が40%を超える。そのような学校が置かれた社会経済的背景を教師がまず理解することから、研究Cは始まった。結果Cの研修開発のテーマは「『指導』という言葉で仕事が増えていく状況について」になった。何を「指導」し、何を「指導しない」のかを学校と教師が共有することについて話し合うのは、学校長の方針と教師の信念とが対立することが多く、研修開発は困難であった。しかし、結論として「教師が完全に子どもの社会経済的背景を拒否することは難しい。また、今後が外国人の受け入れなどが加速し、同様の困難を抱える教師が増加することが予想される。研究Cも含めこの結果は論文発表としてまとめていく予定である。
