项目摘要

自分自身の意思決定についての主観的認識（メタ認知）について研究を行った。前年度の研究は、強制二肢選択についての主観的確信度の計算メカニズムを実験的に示すものであった。今年度は、昨年実験的に示された確信度計算メカニズムの背景的数理を生態学的合理性の観点から意義付けるコンピュータシミュレーションを行った。生態学的に妥当な状況設定の下で効率的に働くヒューリスティック的アルゴリズムを考えることで、従来の規範的な理論では説明できないと考えられていた無意識的な記憶想起（潜在記憶）や知覚現象（盲視）を節約的に捉えることに成功した。本研究の成果はカリフォルニア大学ロサンゼルス校のHakwan Lau教授との共著論文として心理学誌の最高峰であるPsychological Reviewに掲載された。また、今年度の後半はカリフォルニア大学ロサンゼルス校およびリバーサイド校においてfMRIニューロフィードバックを用いた実験をスタートさせたが、間もなくコロナウィルスの蔓延により施設が閉鎖となり、研究は中断となった。
