まず昨年度執筆した、ヒエロニムス・ボッシュの絵画が、金子光晴の特に戦時下の詩に影響を及ぼした可能性について分析した論文を英訳し、オランダのヒエロニムス・ボッシュ・アートセンターに送付した。当原稿は当該センターの図書室に所蔵されることになるため、国際的な研究者に向けてボッシュが日本の詩人にも与えたと考えられる影響を発信できるため、意義があると考える。また大江満雄の詩における機械表象の変遷についての論文を推敲し、学術誌に発表することができた。戦争を肯定するような詩を書きつつも、国家を超えたビジョンを描きえていた彼の特異性と限界について、機械表象を分析することで探った。さらに、詩の中から人間的な感情を無くすことを目標に詩作していた上田敏雄らの作品を読み、自我への違和感や分裂意識が、そうした手法の背景にあったことを論じた。こちらについても、学会発表を行い、それを元にして学術誌への掲載が決定している。タイプライターなどの産業機械から電車やバス、兵器まで機械が社会へ広く浸透していった時代において人間の心象風景や存在感覚がどのように影響されたのか、詩の中にその具体例を探る試みであり、今ではあまり知られていないが現代にも通じる問題意識を含む作品を再評価するという意味もある。以上に引き続いて、博士論文の章となる各論の執筆を進めた。具体的には、第二次世界大戦下における日本の戦争詩の特徴、そしてそこから逸脱する要素を持った、金子光晴の詩について論じた。また1920年代から40年代における動物や機械という「人間ではないもの」の表象が登場する詩についての概観、萩原恭次郎の詩における機械と動物について、を執筆した。また「人間ではないもの」の表象が、自我の問題とどのように結びついていたかを現在考察しているところである。哲学における動物論などの分野との接続点を探る上でも重要であると考えられる。
