本研究の目標は、知識人の公的役割をめぐる現代的議論を視野に入れつつ、第二次大戦後の西ドイツで活躍したフランクフルト学派や文学集団47年グループを考察し、思想家や作家による社会批判の意義を明らかにすることである。まず、1960年代西ドイツで、フランクフルト学派のテーオドル・アドルノが、旧ナチ党員で保守派のアーノルト・ゲーレンと行ったラジオ対談を分析した。当時の社会における、アドルノによる社会批判の意義を明らかにした。この成果は、2018年10月の第43回社会思想史学会大会にて口頭発表済みである。ここで取り上げたラジオ対談は音声記録しか存在していないため、ドイツ語で文字起こしを行い、この資料へのアクセスが容易になるよう、京都大学大学院独文研究室『研究報告』第32号（2019年）にその全訳を掲載した。そして、アドルノとゲーレンの議論を1970年代以降さらに発展させた、ユルゲン・ハーバーマスやヘルムート・シェルスキーへと考察の対象を広げ、2019年3月に日本独文学会機関誌『Neue Beitraege zur Germanistik』第159号（国際誌）へ、ドイツ語で寄稿した（査読結果待ち）。続いて、47年グループのハンス・マグヌス・エンツェンスベルガーを考察した。アドルノに影響を受けた彼の知識人像を分析することで、思想と文学の関係を捉える新たな視座を得た。この成果に関しては、2019年6月の日本独文学会京都支部春季研究発表会にて口頭発表を行う（申請受理済み）。さらに、2017年に公刊された東ドイツ崩壊を描いた自伝小説を分析し、その過程が当事者たちにとってどのような意味を持っていたのかを検討した。知識人の現代的意義を解明する上で、東ドイツの状況を同時に視野に収めることは非常に重要であった。この成果は、2019年3月の第72回現代文学ゼミナールにて口頭発表を行った。

The purpose of this study is to investigate the social critical significance of intellectuals and writers after the Second Great Revolution. In the 1960s, the Western Party, the Communist Party, the Conservative Party and the Communist Party of China were analyzed. The significance of social criticism at that time is clear. The results of this work were presented orally at the 43rd Conference of the Society for the History of Social Thought in October 2018. This article is published in Research Report No. 32 (2019) of Kyoto University Graduate School of Independent Studies. In March 2019, the Japanese Independent Literature Association published the article "Neue Beitraege zur Germanistik" No. 159 (International Journal). In 1947, he was awarded the title of Chief Executive Officer. The relationship between the intellectual and the literary world has been explored. In June 2019, the Kyoto Branch of the Japan Independent Literature Association held an oral presentation (application acceptance). In 2017, the company announced that it would continue to conduct research on the development of new technologies. The modern meaning of intellectual man is very important. This achievement will be announced orally in the 72nd edition of Modern Literature in March 2019.
