项目摘要

多国籍企業が国内の川下市場に参入する際，国内企業の垂直的取引形態へどのような影響があるのか，独占的競争モデルと寡占モデルを用い，２種類の研究を進めている．独占的競争モデルを用いた研究では，どのような市場環境で垂直統合または垂直分離が進むのかについて，川上・川下企業間の収入配分と川上企業の関係特殊的投入財の重要度に注目し，分析を整理した．最終財生産工程での川上企業の関係特殊的投入財の重要度が比較的高く（低く），川上企業の収入配分が低い（高い）場合には，多国籍企業の川下市場への参入は，国内川上企業の外部機会を増やすため，国内川下企業の外部調達割合（内部調達割合）を増加させることが示された．数値解析を用い，上記の企業間収入配分と川上企業の関係特殊的投入財の重要度によって，外部調達を行う企業の割合および数がどのように変化するのか定量的に示し，結果の整理を行った．2018年度日本応用経済学会春季大会では，これらの分析をまとめたものを報告し，今後の論文の改善に役立つコメントが得られた．次に寡占モデルを用いた分析では，多国籍企業の川下市場への参入により，外部調達をしている川下企業の投入財需要が，全体として増える点に注目し，垂直統合が進むのか垂直分離が進むのかについて分析を進めた．昨年度時点での初期設定では，投入財需要の増加が，外部調達時の投入財価格上昇を促し，外部調達コストが増大することで，垂直統合が増える可能性があるという結果が確認されている．当初，統合企業はすべての投入財を内部調達するという仮定のもとで分析を進めていたが，本年度，非線形の費用関数も想定し分析を継続したところ，統合企業も一部の投入財を外部調達する可能性が出てきた．現在，統合企業が，内部および外部調達することが可能と想定した場合について分析を進めている．本年度の進展を踏まえ，来年度以降も継続して分析をまとめていく．
