移民・移動・結婚可能性：日本における中国人学生と結婚障壁の形成

这项研究项目的联合调查者在布鲁克林新开发的唐人街进行了民族志研究，但她的研究并没有预期的那么成功。现场的中国移民很少会说英语和普通话。唐人街是一个典型的犹太人区，符合当地人在移民飞地上的刻板印象。由于语言障碍，她无法与那里的移民进行任何有意义的对话。然而，基于她收集的视觉材料和她的人种学观察，她制定了更好的研究设计。她参加了社会经济促进会、管理学院和美国社会学协会的年会，以收集她的研究项目的信息，并与她所在领域的研究人员互动。不幸的是，由于新冠肺炎的大流行，她不得不在2020年3月终止她的研究项目。

The co-investigator of this research project conducted ethnographic study in the newly developed Chinatown in Brooklyn, but her study was not as successful as expected. Chinese immigrants at the field site rarely speak English and Mandarin Chinese. The Chinatown is a typical ghetto fitting to natives' stereotype on immigrant enclaves. Because of the linguistic barrier, she was unable to have any meaningful conversations with the immigrants there. However, based on visual materials she collected and her ethnographic observation, she has formulated a better research design.She attended annual meetings of Society for the Advancement of Socio-Economics, Academy of Management, and American Sociological Associations to collect information on her research project and interact with researchers in her field.Unfortunately, because of the pandemic of COVID-19, she had to terminate her research project in March, 2020.
