移民・移動・結婚可能性：日本における中国人学生と結婚障壁の形成

该项目的共同研究者在布鲁克林新开发的唐人街进行了人种学研究，但她的研究并不像预期的那样成功。现场的中国移民很少说英语和普通话。唐人街是典型的贫民窟，符合当地人对移民聚居地的刻板印象。由于语言障碍，她无法与那里的移民进行任何有意义的对话。然而，基于她收集的视觉材料和她的民族志观察，她制定了一个更好的研究设计。她参加了社会经济进步学会、管理学会和美国社会学协会的年度会议，以收集有关她的研究项目的信息，并与她所在领域的研究人员进行交流。不幸的是，由于新冠肺炎大流行，她不得不在2020年3月终止了她的研究项目。

The co-investigator of this research project conducted ethnographic study in the newly developed Chinatown in Brooklyn, but her study was not as successful as expected. Chinese immigrants at the field site rarely speak English and Mandarin Chinese. The Chinatown is a typical ghetto fitting to natives' stereotype on immigrant enclaves. Because of the linguistic barrier, she was unable to have any meaningful conversations with the immigrants there. However, based on visual materials she collected and her ethnographic observation, she has formulated a better research design.She attended annual meetings of Society for the Advancement of Socio-Economics, Academy of Management, and American Sociological Associations to collect information on her research project and interact with researchers in her field.Unfortunately, because of the pandemic of COVID-19, she had to terminate her research project in March, 2020.
