项目摘要

特別研究員最終年度を迎えた本年度は、研究課題「イタリア未来派における機械と身体の融合としての〈踊る身体〉の表象分析」の総括に取り組んだが、新型コロナウイルス感染拡大の影響を受け、やむを得ず研究計画を大幅に変更した。〈踊る身体〉の表象をめぐる考察を総括するため、詩人F.T.マリネッティが発表したマニフェスト「未来派ダンス宣言」（1917）の精読に焦点を絞ることとした。これまでの研究成果を反映させつつ、機械と身体をめぐる言説について、未来派という現象に潜む身体とジェンダーの問題系に光をあて整理分析を行った。まず、マリネッティにとって、マニフェストとは静的なテクストではなく動的なパフォーマンス行為であり、同時にメディア戦略であった特徴を前提とした。次に、理想的な身体像に掲げられた〈機械と融合した身体〉のイメージが芸術に昇華したとき、筋骨隆々とした男性の身体ではなく、敏捷で鍛えられた女性の身体にそれが表象され、またそれを女性ダンサーが演じた展開を分析した。このことを踏まえ、マリネッティが宣揚した〈ダンス〉が効果的なメディア戦略としてのパフォーマンスを象徴する特徴を明らかにし、未来派の〈踊る身体〉に逆説的に課せられたジェンダーの両義性を指摘した。以上の考察を、研究論文「〈未来派ダンス宣言〉を読む－マリネッティのメディア戦略と舞踊論－」（『立命館言語文化研究』第33巻2号）にまとめた。また、近年イタリアの図書館やアーカイヴ所蔵資料のデジタル化が進みつつあることから、未来派とその周縁の芸術運動に関わる資料が閲覧可能なサイトをつぶさに調べ、学術的に有効な関連資料を所蔵する機関の公式サイトのシトグラフィーを作成した。この成果は上記論文のアペンディクスに掲載した。
