本研究課題は、「政治的決定の多元性と政党組織」をテーマとしており、政治制度と政党組織の関係を検討し、「多数決型民主主義」という概念の修正を図るものである。第一に、政党組織研究に関するレビューを行った。これまでの政党組織研究の中で何が欠けていたのか、また「政党組織」という概念が何を指していたのかを明確にし、「議会政党組織」に着目する必要を示した。この成果は、京都大学大学院法学研究科の紀要である『法学論叢』に三回にわけて掲載された。第二に、「多数決型民主主義」の根幹をなす選挙制度が政治的な競争・利益代表に与える影響を検討した。小選挙区制から比例代表制への変更を行ったオーストラリアの州議会の事例を用いて、計量テキスト分析の手法によって演説の分析を行った。この成果は、2019年7月に行われた日本選挙学会で報告され、現在、国際誌に投稿中である。第三に、オーストラリア連邦議会議員による利益代表のあり方を検討するために、2016年と2019年の選挙期間中のツイートを分析し、政権党所属の下院議員は選挙区への利益誘導をアピールする傾向にあることが示された。この成果は、オーストラリア最大の政治学の学会であるオーストラリア政治学会（Australian Political Studies Association）年次大会で報告された。オーストラリアで得たフィードバックをもとに修正し、国際誌に投稿中である。それらに加えて、日本を事例とした二院制と政党組織の研究、地方議員の選挙キャンペーンに関する研究を行い、それぞれ論文投稿中である。

This research topic is to discuss the relationship between political system and party organization, and to revise the concept of majority democracy.
