项目摘要

申請者の研究課題は、自然・社会における生物・人間の間に成立する複雑な関係の発生と安定性を理論的に理解することである。特に、二者が利己か利他かの行動選択を迫られる社会の基本的な性質を数理的に表現する囚人のジレンマゲームに着目した。このゲームを用いて、両者が相互に利他行動を行うメカニズムが盛んに多く調べられている。しかし、現実には両者の間で利己と利他の行動を行う頻度が異なる非対称な搾取的関係がよく見られる。個人が相互に学習を行う状況を想定して、この搾取関係の発生のメカニズムを明らかにすることが本研究の目的である。前年度では二者間で起こる搾取を分析したが、今年度は現実の社会に見られるような多人数間のゲームに拡張した。この場合、二者間の場合と大きく異なり、自分は複数の相手に同じ戦略で対応しなければならない。結果として、それぞれの個人が別の二者とゲームを行う場合には、より度合いの高い搾取関係が発生した。これは、個人がある相手に搾取されたとしても、別の相手と協力を結び合計の利益を最大化する動機があるからである。逆に、個人が十分に多い別の個人とゲームを行う場合には、搾取を行うような戦略は損であり、むしろ他者間の協力を誘発する役割があることを発見した。以上で搾取の発生を示した相互学習では、個人が相手の行動を参照し、参照した行動に応じて自分が戦略を使い分ける限定された状況を想定していた。今年度は、相手だけではなく自分の行動を参照して戦略を使い分ける、より一般的で、またゲーム理論で頻繁に想定される状況についても搾取が発生することを明らかにした。また、相手の行動のみを参照する個人と、自分と相手両方の参照するより学習性能の高い個人で相互学習を行うと、後者が一方的に搾取されてしまう非自明な現象が見られた。これは、自分の行動を参照することが、相手の利己行動に対して寛容になってしまうことを示している。
