最終年度にあたる本年度は、夫婦それぞれの就業行動に対する配偶者の影響を検討することを目的とし、（1）出産前後における就業行動の変化に対して、配偶者の労働時間がどのような影響を及ぼすのか検討すること、（２）夫と妻のそれぞれの職場環境が家庭内での家事・育児時間に対して及ぼす影響について検討すること、の2点に取り組んだ。各分析課題について、得られた知見は次の通りである。（1）夫婦間の役割分担がジェンダー不平等であるメカニズムを解明するために、出産前年と1年後の夫婦それぞれの就業行動の変化とそれに対する配偶者の影響を検討した。「東大社研若年・壮年パネル調査（JLPS）」のデータを用いて、夫婦双方にクロスラグモデルを想定した分析を行った。結果は第２子以上出産群においてのみ、出産1年前の夫の労働時間が出産1年後の妻の労働時間に対して負の影響を持つことが示された。その一方で、出産1年後の夫の労働時間に対する妻の影響は確認されなかった。これは夫婦の役割分担がジェンダー伝統主義に基づいていることを表しており、働き方改革および労働市場における男女間の賃金格差是正が必要であることを示唆している。（2）夫婦の職場環境が双方の家事・育児時間に対して及ぼす影響について検討を行った。昨年度までに収集した夫婦ペアデータを用いて、夫と妻それぞれの職場で利用可能な制度数と、利用しやすい制度の数、仕事の進め方にかんする柔軟度の3点に着目して、家事時間・育児時間・夫の分担比率に対してどのような影響を及ぼすのかについて検討した。結果は、男性側において仕事の進め方が柔軟であると夫自身の育児時間が増大するものの、男女ともに職場の利用できる制度数が多く、制度整備が拡充している場合は、男性の育児負担は増えずに女性がより多く負担するという関連が見出された。
